Meet Tony Rached: a Lebanon native turned global entrepreneur with a knack for engineering his way out of any situation. He escaped what he calls “a dead-end existence” in Beirut to the US in 1999 to dive into the world of engineering as a student in North Carolina.
Tony served in the US Army and received the Army Achievement Medal. In 2004, he maneuvered his way into the automotive world, shifting gears to become one of the top 5 Volvo salespeople in the US.
In 2007, he launched his own company. Why work for “the man” when you can be “the man”, right? The name of his venture? Lira. Now, before you think it’s a currency crisis, let’s clarify: while the Lebanese Lira may have seen better days, Tony’s version of Lira is on a bull run, thriving between the US and Brazil.
